LOCATION: Cornwall
DESCRIPTION: Designed by husband and wife team, David Shalev and Eldred Evans, the Tate's Western Gallery was opened in 1994 to critical aclaim. The building has been designed to be in harmony within the small seaside town, yet is undoubtly both modern and unforgetable. Tate St Ives Phase Two Design by Jamie Fobert will feature a new building above the existing gallery. Over 2 million people have visited Tate St Ives since it opened in 1993.
